Key Project Requirements
- Prior experience as an Auxiliary Operator at a combined-cycle or cogeneration facility
- Ability to perform safe field operations on gas turbines, HRSG systems, steam cycle equipment, cooling systems, and balance-of-plant equipment
- Strong adherence to safety procedures, equipment isolation, and lockout/tagout practices

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Ensure the safe and efficient operation of the power plant, including auxiliaries and balance of plant systems, from outside the control room.
- Execute start-up, operation, and shutdown of equipment and systems in alignment with approved plant procedures, technical manuals, and instructions from the Control Room Operator.
- Continuously monitor and accurately record local operating parameters, making necessary adjustments to maintain optimal safety and efficiency.
- Assist Control Room Operators in managing the facility’s operations with minimal supervision and operate and maintain all plant equipment, including local operation via PLC panel interfaces.
- Proactively communicate any operational issues, unusual conditions, or equipment malfunctions to ensure seamless plant performance.
- Efficiently use the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to log maintenance data and activities, ensuring alignment with the facility’s maintenance philosophy and operational goals.
- In-depth knowledge of power plant operations including mechanical, instrumentation, and electrical systems required
- Possess knowledge of all facets of power plant operations to include systems functionality, maintenance procedures and safety protocols.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, procedures, and policies related to plant operations and safety practices
- Knowledge and understanding of equipment isolation and tagging procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- A high school diploma or GED is required.
- 2 years of industry experience
