Key Project Requirements
- 10 years of instrumentation & controls (I&C) commissioning, startup, operations, or maintenance experience supporting utility-scale power generation projects.
- Demonstrated experience leading commissioning activities for Distributed Control Systems (DCS), PLCs, turbine control systems, instrumentation, and plant control systems. Experience with GE, Siemens, MAN Everllence, or similar OEM control systems is strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of control system turnover, loop checks, logic validation, functional testing, cause & effect verification, and startup activities.
- Proven leadership experience coordinating commissioning engineers, OEM representatives, contractors, and client personnel throughout the commissioning lifecycle.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Lead instrumentation and controls commissioning activities from construction completion through startup, reliability testing, and commercial operation.
- Develop and execute commissioning plans, procedures, work packages, and testing strategies for plant control systems.
- Coordinate commissioning activities with engineering, construction, OEM representatives, operations personnel, and project leadership.
- Supervise I&C commissioning engineers while ensuring work is completed safely and in accordance with project requirements.
- Oversee commissioning of distributed control systems (DCS), PLCs, turbine controls, field instrumentation, analyzers, and associated control system equipment.
- Lead loop checks, instrument calibration verification, logic validation, cause & effect testing, and functional testing activities.
- Support system turnover, startup readiness, first-fire activities, synchronization support, and performance testing.
- Identify commissioning issues, develop corrective action plans, and provide routine progress updates to project leadership.
- Strong understanding of instrumentation and controls commissioning principles for utility-scale power generation facilities.
- Experience commissioning DCS, PLC, turbine control systems, field instrumentation, and associated control system hardware.
- Ability to interpret P&IDs, control narratives, logic diagrams, cause & effect matrices, loop drawings, and vendor documentation.
- Experience performing or supervising loop checks, functional testing, and control system validation.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills with experience coordinating EPC contractors, OEM representatives, and multidisciplinary commissioning teams.
- Ability to work extended schedules during critical commissioning and startup activities.
- 10 years of progressively responsible experience supporting commissioning, startup, construction, operations, or maintenance of utility-scale power generation facilities.
- Experience with GE, Siemens, MAN Everllence, or comparable OEM control systems is strongly preferred.
- Previous experience on simple-cycle, combined-cycle, reciprocating engine, BESS, or large industrial power generation projects is preferred.
