Responsibilities
- Lead the automotive service team by providing clear direction, motivation, and support to ensure high performance and customer satisfaction
- Oversee vehicle diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance procedures including oil changes, brake repairs, suspension work, tire services, shocks & struts, transmissions, and collision repairs
- Utilize estimating software and computer-aided vehicle damage estimating tools to prepare accurate repair estimates and communicate effectively with clients
- Drive upselling initiatives by identifying additional services that meet customer needs while maximizing revenue opportunities
- Manage service writing tasks efficiently, ensuring all work orders are detailed accurately and completed promptly
- Maintain strong client communication by explaining repair procedures clearly and providing updates on vehicle status throughout the service process
- Handle cash transactions responsibly while maintaining accurate financial records and balancing daily cash handling activities
- Monitor parts inventory levels to ensure timely availability of components needed for repairs
- Promote a safe working environment by adhering to safety protocols and industry standards
Qualifications
- Proven dealership or automotive service management experience with a strong understanding of auto repair processes
- Extensive mechanic experience with knowledge of automotive diagnostics, transmissions, oil changes, brake systems, suspension components, tire services, shocks & struts
- Proficiency in estimating software and computer-aided vehicle damage estimating tools
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients
- Strong sales aptitude with a focus on upselling complementary services effectively
- Mechanical knowledge of automotive repair including collision repair procedures
- Experience managing service technicians and coordinating workflow efficiently
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; ability to drive company vehicles as needed
