1:1 Violin Teacher (Substitute)

.Pianoberries Music School is looking for a dedicated and professional Violin Instructor to join our Brookline Village location. This position starts as a substitute role from May 19th to June 9th, with the potential to transition into a regular, long-term position for the Summer term and the 2026/2027 school year as our violin program expands.

Schedule (Substitute Period)

• Duration: May 19th – June 9th
• Tuesdays: 3:15 PM – 5:30 PM
• Wednesdays: 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM
• Additional hours may become available for the summer & school year.

Compensation & Lesson Type

• Pay Rate: $40 per hour
• Lesson Type: 1:1 Private Lessons only (No group classes for this position)

Location

• Pianoberries Music School: Brookline Village, MA

Work Authorization (Work Status)

• Required: Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Candidates must have a valid work permit, OPT (CPT), or residency/citizenship status.
• This is a W-2 position (not 1099).

Responsibilities & Qualifications

• Provide high-quality private 1:1 violin lessons to students ranging from ages 6-12.
• Develop engaging lesson plans tailored to each student's level and goals.
• Degree in Violin (Performance) required - Advanced Degree: Master’s (MM) or Doctoral degree (DMA) in Violin Performance is preferred.
• Strong communication skills and a passion for teaching.

Pay Rate

• Private Lessons $40/ an hour.
• In-Home Private Lessons $50/ an hour.
• Semi Private Lessons $45 / an hour.
