What are the responsibilities and job description for the Landscape Softscape/Maintenance Foreman position at Piala's Nursery & Garden Shop, Inc.?
Piala's Nursery & Garden Shop, Inc. is seeking a Landscape Softscape & Maintenance Foreperson to work with our construction team. We offer a consistent work schedule with paid overtime, the possibility of year-round employment, the possibility of a benefit package (for full-time, year-round) and the potential for performance-based bonuses. Compensation package is based on experience. NO WINTER PLOWING.
The ideal candidate is an upbeat, detail-oriented, highly motivated self-starter with a minimum of three years of landscape maintenance or construction experience, that takes pride and ownership of team’s work. Must be able to lift heavy materials repeatedly. Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills are preferred, but English-only or Spanish-only skills are acceptable.
Responsibilities:
- Read blueprints and lay out jobsites
- Perform and supervise landscape construction - Tasks vary and may include (but not limited to): planting, mulching, pruning and maintenance
- Train, motivate and supervise 3-5 landscape laborers
- Track material and labor use on a daily basis
- Safely operate equipment (skid loader, mini-excavator, small engine equipment, trucks, trailers, etc)
- Perform daily equipment maintenance (check fluids, clean air filters, etc.)
