We are seeking a skilled HIL (Hardware-in-the-Loop) Commissioning Engineer with hands-on experience in setting up, configuring, and validating HIL systems for automotive ECU testing and validation. The candidate will be responsible for commissioning HIL benches, integrating plant models, troubleshooting communication interfaces, and supporting automation activities for embedded systems validation.
Key Responsibilities
- Commission and configure HIL test benches for automotive ECU validation.
- Integrate and validate plant models using tools such as MATLAB/Simulink, dSPACE, or NI/LabVIEW.
- Perform ECU testing, debugging, and signal validation on HIL platforms.
- Configure and troubleshoot automotive communication protocols including CAN, LIN, Ethernet, and UDS.
- Develop and execute automated test scripts using Python, CAPL, or AutomationDesk.
- Support calibration, fault injection, and system-level validation activities.
- Analyze test results, identify root causes, and support issue resolution.
- Collaborate with software, system, and validation teams to ensure successful commissioning activities.
- Maintain test documentation, test reports, and validation records.
Required Skills
- Strong experience in HIL commissioning and ECU validation.
- Hands-on experience with dSPACE, ETAS, NI, or Vector HIL platforms.
- Knowledge of CAN, LIN, Ethernet, UDS diagnostic protocols.
- Experience with MATLAB/Simulink and automation tools.
- Familiarity with Vector tools such as CANoe, CANalyzer, and CANape.
- Scripting knowledge in Python, CAPL, or MATLAB.
- Understanding of embedded systems and automotive electronics.
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Electrical, Automotive, or related engineering field.
- Experience in ADAS, Body Control, Powertrain, or EV domain is preferred.
- Exposure to ASPICE or automotive functional safety standards is an advantage.
Experience
- 3 years of experience in HIL commissioning, ECU testing, or automotive validation.
