Job Summary:
CPL is seeking a reliable and courteous Delivery Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering prescription medications and other pharmacy items to patients using a company vehicle. You may also assist with occasional errands and light in-store support. This is a part-time position working 10:00am to 5:30pm, Monday through Wednesday with flexibility to work additional days, as needed. No nights or weekends.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely and promptly deliver prescription medications to patients’ homes or care facilities.
- Drive a company-provided vehicle and follow assigned routes.
- Verify delivery information and obtain required signatures upon delivery.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
- Run occasional errands on behalf of the pharmacy (e.g., post office, supply pickups).
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance checks (fuel, tire pressure, cleanliness).
- Communicate effectively with pharmacy staff and patients.
- Assist in the pharmacy with light duties when needed (e.g., packaging deliveries, organizing supplies).
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to get in and out of a vehicle multiple times per shift.
- Comfortable walking short distances and navigating stairs, doorsteps, or uneven terrain as needed during deliveries.
- Capable of lifting and carrying up to 10 lbs (e.g., small packages or medication totes).
- Good hand-eye coordination and ability to handle small items securely and efficiently.
- Ability to sit for extended periods while driving.
Qualifications:
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Excellent time management and communication skills.
- Strong sense of responsibility and professionalism.
- Friendly, patient-focused attitude.
- Previous delivery or customer service experience a plus.
- Must be 18
