A leading global investment firm is seeking a Listed Derivatives Operations Associate to support a dynamic trading platform focused on exchange-traded futures and options. This individual will play a critical role in the daily operational lifecycle of listed derivatives trading, partnering closely with portfolio managers, traders, technology teams, and external clearing partners to ensure accurate trade processing, reconciliation, and risk mitigation.

The ideal candidate combines strong futures operations experience with a passion for automation, process improvement, and data-driven problem solving. This role offers direct exposure to global futures markets and the opportunity to drive operational innovation within a highly sophisticated investment environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the daily operational lifecycle of exchange-traded futures and options on futures across major global exchanges, including CME, CBOT, ICE, and Eurex.
• Perform trade, position, and cash reconciliations between clearing brokers, exchanges, and internal trading systems, ensuring timely identification and resolution of discrepancies.
• Investigate futures clearing breaks, trade exceptions, and position differences while maintaining a strong focus on operational risk management and control.
• Partner directly with trading teams to resolve operational issues related to trade capture, allocations, clearing, settlement, and exchange reporting.
• Develop and enhance scalable workflows supporting listed derivatives processing, leveraging automation, APIs, AI tools, and data analytics.
• Analyze large operational datasets to identify trends, improve reconciliation accuracy, and reduce manual intervention.
• Drive process improvement initiatives focused on increasing straight-through processing, operational efficiency, and scalability across futures operations.
• Collaborate with technology and business stakeholders on strategic projects involving workflow automation, predictive analytics, and AI-enabled solutions.
• Monitor exchange and clearing activity to ensure operational integrity and accurate processing of daily trading activity.
• Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of controls, procedures, and reporting frameworks supporting global derivatives operations.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience supporting listed derivatives, futures operations, trade support, clearing, middle office, or capital markets operations functions.
• Strong understanding of exchange-traded futures, options on futures, clearing workflows, margin processes, and exchange operations.
• Experience working with FCMs, clearing brokers, exchanges, or institutional trading environments.
• Proven ability to perform complex reconciliations, investigate breaks, and resolve operational exceptions in a fast-paced environment.
• Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, large dataset analysis, and reporting.
• Experience with SQL, Python, VBA, or similar tools used for automation and operational analytics.
• Demonstrated interest in leveraging AI, workflow automation, and data-driven solutions to improve operational processes.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to interact effectively with traders, operations teams, technology partners, and senior stakeholders.

Preferred Experience:

• Experience supporting futures clearing and post-trade operations across multiple global exchanges.
• Familiarity with listed derivatives trade flows, exchange reporting, margining, and regulatory requirements.
• Exposure to automation tools, APIs, machine learning applications, or operational transformation initiatives within financial services.
