What are the responsibilities and job description for the Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant FT position at Physicians Practice Enhancement LLC?
Physician Practice Enhancement is seeking a dedicated and skilled Full-Time Physician Assistant (PA) to join us in the Emergency Department at Bergen New Bridge M.C. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment delivering high-quality acute care.
Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including history and physical examinations
- Diagnose and manage a wide range of acute and chronic conditions in the Emergency Department
- Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests (labs, imaging, etc.)
- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with attending physicians
- Perform procedures such as suturing, splinting, wound care, and other emergency interventions
- Document patient care accurately and in a timely manner in the EMR
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary team members
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, protocols, and regulatory standards
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
- Current New Jersey PA license
- NCCPA certification required
- BLS, ACLS (PALS preferred)
- Prior Emergency Medicine experience preferred, new graduates with strong clinical rotations considered
- Strong clinical judgment, multitasking ability, and excellent communication skills
