Physicians Group Laboratories (PGL) is seeking an experienced, hands-on IT Operations Manager to lead and support our laboratory IT infrastructure and clinical systems. This role is critical to ensuring our technology ecosystem runs smoothly, securely, and in full alignment with lab operations and regulatory requirements.

About the Role
As our IT Operations Manager, you will serve as the internal point of contact for all IT needs, from day-to-day user support to system implementations and cybersecurity oversight. You’ll play a key role in our LIS implementation, act as a bridge between lab operations and vendors, and support technical integrations with external partners as the business scales.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary in-house IT contact for technical support and troubleshooting
- Lead implementation and support of clinical and operational systems (LIS, EMR, billing platforms)
- Act as technical lead for LIS transitions, ensuring alignment with lab workflows and compliance standards
- Oversee network security, access controls, and cybersecurity best practices
- Coordinate with external IT vendors for infrastructure, integrations, and upgrades
- Support integrations with DSOs, procurement platforms, and third-party payer portals
- Train staff on technology platforms and support onboarding
- Maintain IT asset inventory, system documentation, and access credentials
- Support IT policies, risk assessments, and business continuity planning
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5 years of IT experience, preferably in healthcare, diagnostics, or clinical labs
- Experience with LIS platforms (Orchard, LabDAQ, etc.), EHR, or RCM systems
- Working knowledge of HIPAA, HITECH, and cybersecurity standards
- Strong troubleshooting skills with a customer-service mindset
- Proven ability to manage projects and communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
