About The Role
We are looking for an employee that can perform day-to-day medical office environmental services functions in office areas, patient/procedure rooms, common areas, and special projects as assigned.
Supervision Received: Reports to Environmental Services Supervisor; Facilities Services Manager
Supervision Exercised: None.
Typical Physical Demands: Requires stamina and endurance, prolonged walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing throughout the workday. Requires frequent lifting and moving of items up to, and over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Typical Working Conditions: This job operates in a professional office environment with frequent exposure to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration with exposure to outside weather conditions.
Responsibilities
Full-time role with a typical work schedule of Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.– 5 p.m., with an hour for lunch at the assigned location.
Overtime may be required to ensure patients are taken care of, tasks are completed, and calls are returned in a timely manner.
Weekend work is rare but can occasionally be necessary.
Candidate Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Requires the ability to follow oral and written communications. Previous environmental service/cleaning experience in a healthcare setting and knowledge of applicable OSHA practice and infection control procedures for healthcare is strongly preferred. Individual must be able to work independently and schedule cleaning activities to meet the needs of patients, staff, physicians, and the public.

Responsibilities
- Sweeping and/or mopping floors, dusting furniture, cleaning walls, furniture, medical equipment, and emptying trash, restocking supplies, cleaning bathrooms, etc.
- Ability to read and understand Standard English and be able to work with standard cleaning chemicals, understand operating instructions for cleaning equipment, materials, safety, and accident prevention
- Working knowledge of cleaning materials and equipment
- Ability to work well under stress, tight deadlines, and fast paced environment
- Possess exceptional organizational and critical thinking skills
- Display high level of confidentiality, integrity, and initiative
- Possess exceptional interpersonal communication skills and create a favorable impression for the organization to all staff, physicians, patients, and the public
