The Physicians’ Clinic of Iowa is seeking a full or part time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant – Certified to join the growing Department of ENT. This is an opportunity to join a team of experienced physicians and staff dedicated to providing high quality care to our patients.
This Provider will provide services by performing the following duties:
- Perform medical examinations and evaluations, diagnose, provide treatment, follow-up and patient education.
- Obtain patient histories, develop and complete patient assessment and documentation with completeness and accuracy.
- Provide initial evaluations on non-surgical patients and follow-up and postoperative care in conjunction with our board-certified physicians
- Perform minor in-office procedures.
- Provide health education to patients and families and communicate to community health practitioners and referring physicians.
- Practice safety, environmental, and/ or infection control methods.
Qualifications:
- Current, Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) license or Physician Assistant license
- Prefer six months to one year of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified above.
- Demonstrated knowledge of evidence-based practice and clinical guidelines
- Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and treatment skills
- Proficiency (or ability to become proficient) in EMR and related computer systems.
- Commitment to patient care and teamwork.
- Excellent communication skills, professionalism, reliability, and maintaining confidentiality.
- Thorough understanding of safety regulations and best practices.
- CPR Certified or must obtain within six months of employment.
