The Physicians’ Clinic of Iowa Medical Laboratory is seeking a full-time Lab Assistant/Phlebotomist to join our exceptional team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional who thrives in a patient-focused, fast-paced clinical environment.
Primary duties for this position include but are not limited to:
- Perform phlebotomy procedures with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Conduct EKGs and process results.
- Patient education for sample collections.
- Maintain clean, well-stocked, and organized exam rooms, draw stations, and clinical areas.
- Complete clerical and administrative duties as needed.
This position requires rotating shifts between 6:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., on a weekly basis.
Qualifications:
- Experience performing phlebotomies, 1-2 years similar preferred.
- Strong Commitment to patient care and teamwork.
- Excellent communication skills, professionalism, reliability, and maintaining confidentiality.
- Proficiency (or ability to become proficient) in EMR and related computer systems.
- Thorough understanding of safety regulations and best practices.
