Medical Assistant – Primary Care

The Role:
We’re seeking a Medical Assistant – Primary Care to support high-quality patient care and ensure smooth clinical operations. Under the supervision of the provider and clinic leadership, you’ll perform both clinical and administrative tasks that keep the care team running efficiently and enhance the overall patient experience.
What You’ll Do:
- Prepare patients for examinations by taking vital signs, documenting medical histories, and updating medication lists.
- Assist providers during patient exams and procedures as needed.
- Perform clinical tasks within scope of practice, including injections, EKGs, specimen collection, and point-of-care testing.
- Administer medications and immunizations as directed and in accordance with policies and regulations.
- Document clinical information accurately in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Prepare exam rooms and maintain clinical supplies and equipment.
- Coordinate with front office and clinical staff to ensure efficient patient flow.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, infection control, and safety standards.
- Other relevant duties as assigned by management.
What We’re Looking For:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.
- Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) preferred.
- Previous experience in a primary care or outpatient clinical setting preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and basic clinical procedures.
- Strong communication skills and a patient-centered mindset.
- Ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced environment.
