Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding a Physician Assistant - Pediatrics to the group at NYC Health Hospitals/South Brooklyn Health.  South Brooklyn Health is a redesigned health care campus featuring the new 11-floor Ruth Bader Ginsburg Hospital which provides emergency care, modern labor and delivery suites, and state-of-the-art surgical services. The new Health & Wellness Institute offers outpatient services from primary and preventive care to specialty services for children and adults, all designed to keep our community healthy.  The hospital maintains a strong academic affiliation with SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University and NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine to maintain its high standards of healthcare delivery.

Opportunity Details:

• The Physician Assistant will be assigned to work in Labor & Delivery (L&D), Mother-Baby Unit, and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
• Working under the supervision of the Attending Physician, the Physician Assistant will collaborate closely with the Resident Physicians and Attending Physicians/Neonatologists assigned to the unit.
• Provide direct patient care including, procedures, blood draws, attending deliveries, conducting daily patient assessments, and implementing daily patient care plans.
• Participate in performance improvement activities.
• Collaborate closely with Social Services and Nursing staff and will attend discharge planning meetings.

• Current NYS Physician Assistant registration
• Current certification issued by the NCCPA
• Must be able to work efficiently in a team environment
• Must be able to work evenings and weekends 

Hourly Rate = $85* per hour
