Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding a Director, Psychiatry - Emergency Services to the group at NYC Health Hospitals/North Central Bronx. NCB is a 213-bed community hospital providing quality care in a friendly setting. This facility provides a range of services, and is known for its outstanding Behavioral Health, Women’s Health, Primary Care, Pediatric, Geriatric and Specialty Ambulatory services. Opportunity Details:

• The Department of Psychiatry has 3 Adult Inpatient Units, a satellite CPEP, a Psychiatry Consultation-Liaison service, a Partial Hospital Program, an Outpatient Department, and an ACT team.
• Oversee the delivery of high quality, evidence-based care and directly work with leaders in the other areas of the department including both inpatient and ambulatory programs, as well as the Emergency Medicine Department.
• Assume an important role in Patient Safety and Clinical Effectiveness.
• Provide leadership in undergraduate medical education including active participation in the clinical and didactic teaching of medical students, PA students, Psychology Interns and Social Work students.
• Incident review management and participation in departmental IR meetings.
• Review/revise guidelines for standards of care ensuring that the PES meets the DOH, CMS, Joint Commission and OMH standards and regulations.

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry.
• Active New York State Medical License.
• At least 2 years of clinical and leadership experience required.

Wages and Benefits include:

Annual Base Salary: $303,000* based on 40-hour work week. 

The annual total value of the compensation package is estimated at $373,300**, which includes the baseline salary, 401(k) contribution, and other factors as set forth below:

• Projected bonus of up to $40,000 (based on previous year’s average), contingent upon meeting quality and productivity targets.
• 401(k) Company Contribution (subject to IRS contribution limits):
  • Employees are immediately vested in a 3% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
  • After one year of service, employees receive an additional 7% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
• Annual Continuing Medical Education (CME) Reimbursement.
• Generous Annual Paid Time Off (PTO): Vacation, Sick, Holiday, and CME days.
