Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding a Anatomic Pathologist to the group at NYC Health Hospitals/Kings County. The Hospital is part of NYC Health Hospitals. Kings County Hospital operates a world-renowned Level 1 Trauma Center, one of only three in Brooklyn, which serves 2.6 million residents of Brooklyn and Staten Island. Kings County is located in the East Flatbush/Prospect-Lefferts section of Brooklyn, close to the 2 and 5 subways. Our patients are diverse, with the majority being Afro-Caribbean. Most of our patients are native English speakers. Knowledge of French/Haitian Creole is helpful, but not required.
- Review and sign out surgical pathology biopsies, excision, and resection cases
- Review and sign out cytopathology cases
- Prioritize malignant cases and submit all first-time malignant cases for daily intradepartmental consensus conference for peer review and concordance
- Complete cases in the required turnaround time (TAT) at Kings County Hospital
- Participate in internal/external quality assurance, performance improvement activities and programs, and departmental meetings, and facility-wide training as needed
- Involve in processing of surgical pathology service management and quality improvement
- Instruct residents on service of general surgical pathology and cytopathology
- Participate in other clinical activities as requested by service director
- NY State Medical License
- Completion of an accredited residency/fellowship in Pathology
- 1 years of experience preferred - New graduating residents and fellows are encouraged to apply
- AP/CP Board Certified or Board Eligible
