What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Receptionist Full Time Position position at Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation?
The Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Center is looking for a highly motivated, friendly, full time Medical Receptionist at our New York location. Schedule is Monday - Friday. 8-hour shift.
Responsibilities Include:
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and address any inquiries or concerns while fostering a warm and welcoming environment for patients
- Greet and check-in patients in a friendly and professional manner
- Collect co-pays and account balances
- Answering multiple phone calls
- Scheduling appointments
- Verifying insurance coverage
- Follow HIPAA guidelines to maintain patient confidentiality
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure smooth patient flow and efficient operations
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents
Qualifications:
- Able to reliably commute to your scheduled location. Must be able to commute to at least 1 of our other locations as needed.
- Must be able to work the closing shift 11p-7pm at least 2 days a week, if requested.
- High School Diploma or equivalent. Higher education a plus!
- Previous experience in the healthcare field a MUST. Physical Therapy or Pain Management a plus!
- Excellent multitasking, organizational and organizational skills
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
