POSITION SUMMARY:
We are seek looking for two Regional Sales Directors, with deep connections in either the Northeast or West Coast US. In this role, you will implement sales strategies and plans to meet revenue targets in a designated region. You will develop and implement strategic sales plans and foster strong relationships with key clients. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of driving revenue growth and deep knowledge of the cannabis market. You will find new leads, manage the sales funnel, and provide monthly sales projections. To be successful in this role, you must be a natural ‘hunter’, effective communicator, relationship builder, and be comfortable closing sales and negotiating.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Identify and leverage business opportunities to drive revenue growth.
Build strategic value partnerships with key accounts to maximize sales performance.
Seek out new major clients, prospect them, generate leads, negotiate contracts and close deals.
Proactively pursue new leads based on input from different channels (market intelligence, investor relations, networking, introductions and referrals) and shepherd them to close.
Implement the company’s commercial plan, customer strategies and yearly joint business plans with key accounts (MSO, SSO, CPG).
Collaborate with key accounts on innovation, trials and improvements to cultivation practices.
Work with teams to resolve customer complaints, investigate problems, identify opportunities and develop solutions for/with key accounts.
Accurately forecast future sales and develop sales plans to adapt to marketplace dynamics.
Generate results reports through the company dashboard, assess performance against target key performance indicators and take corrective action to close gaps.
Participate in monthly sales performance review meetings to continuously maximize top line revenue.
Maintain and provide historical sales records, call logs, and communication for key accounts.
Develop relationships with key stakeholders in our industry to build our brand and reputation.
Be ‘the voice of the customer’ in the organization and recommend changes in strategy, products, services, and go-to-market model by evaluating results and competitive developments.
Support marketing efforts by providing guidance on target audiences and relevant content.
Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications and establishing personal networks.
Represent the company at trade events and provide thought leadership at industry forums.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
6+ years’ experience in a Sales role with a proven track record of growth.
NE Role: Must be located on the East Coast. Direct sales experience to cannabis operators required, with deep relationships on the Northeast Coast.
West Coast Role: Must be located on the West Coast. Direct sales experience to cannabis operators required, with deep relationships, especially in Nor Cal.
Expertise in one or more of the following areas: cultivation, bioscience, technology, and agriculture.
A working understanding of the cannabis, hemp and/or agricultural industries. Aware and engaged in industry regulations and trends.
History of setting and driving strategic sales initiatives in a start-up, fast-paced environment.
Experience preparing, presenting, and negotiating pricing/contracts.
Experience working with G-Suite, Slack, sales management programs, project management, expense reporting, and other business software.
Tech-savvy. Eager to learn new software, programs, and interfaces.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Have a sophisticated and empathetic mindset to build trust with customers.
Must maintain a valid driver’s license and be willing to travel to meet customers / clients frequently.
Work is performed primarily in an indoor office, at-home office, or a customer’s greenhouse environment.
Full time remote position. Includes work from your location (approx. 50%) combined with on site customer visits across the US (50%).
Base Salary + Commission estimate is $150-$200K. The salary range on each job posting reflects a reasonable estimated target compensation. Within the range for each position, individual pay is determined by location, skills, experience, education, and industry experience. Please note that this reflects only the base compensation and commission and does not include other benefits and generous employee option grants.
