Position Summary
The Director of Marketing will drive revenue growth by developing and executing marketing strategies, plans and campaigns that highlight the unique attributes and competitive advantages of Phylos’ business including our seeds, rare cannabinoid genetics, and research capabilities. This role requires both a strategic and tactical leader that is creative, operational, collaborative and revenue-growth minded. They will promote our customer value proposition, launch new products and oversee development of sales materials for the commercial team., They will develop and execute content, website, event, internal and external communications, and marketing initiatives. This subject matter expert will be skilled at translating strategies into processes and programs that can be successfully implemented, measured and evaluated.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop and execute performance marketing campaigns, including digital and traditional ad campaigns, white papers, case studies, technical briefs, and product demonstrations, to support business priorities and promote our customer value proposition.
Develop and oversee the maintenance of technical documentation and product collateral that effectively communicates product features and benefits.
Maintain the technical systems and system integrations for lead outreach, intake, routing, analysis and reporting.
Develop and maintain the company’s professional representation and product promotion on the company’s websites.
Product Launches and Campaigns:
Lead the planning and execution of product launches, ensuring comprehensive go-to-market strategies.
Develop integrated marketing campaigns that showcase the technical advantages of our products and solutions.
Sales Enablement:
Provide assets and resources to the sales team, including technical presentations, product demonstrations, and education assets.
Develop and maintain a library of technical sales tools and resources.
Develop, prioritize and measure effectiveness of external outreach.
Be a product expert and evangelist both internally and externally, developing a deep understanding of market needs and trends and use that knowledge to position the company for the greatest market gain.
Ensure our marketing investment delivers our strategic objectives - responsible for budgeting, identifying marketing resource needs, and managing contractors.
Define need and lead development of creative services: photography, videography, graphic design, and editing of both formats for use on digital channels, product materials and slide decks.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
Thorough understanding of customers, market trends and developments in hemp/cannabis, cultivation, and variety traits.
Growth strategy development and implementation, demand generation.
Expertise in B2B marketing strategies and practices specific to cannabis.
Omni-channel marketing.
Digital marketing .
PR and marketing communications.
Commercial mindset, knows how to support Sales and Business Development.
Extensive experience leveraging CRM systems, marketing automation software, and data analytics to market, measure, and drive results.
Strong understanding of marketing processes, digital marketing, website planning, content lifecycle management and leveraging optimization tactics focused on conversion.
Leading marketing functions, projects, programs and directing the allocation of resources.
Strong problem-solving skills including structuring, interpreting and presenting analyses.
Possess critical business thinking skills and be comfortable with processes, analytics, desktop tools, software solutions, matrix management and budget management.
Strong project management skills that enable ability to execute complex projects with tight deadlines: strong attention to detail and follow-through.
Extensive experience managing third-party providers.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

$105-$115K DOE. The salary range on each job posting reflects a reasonable estimated target compensation. Within the range for each position, individual pay is determined by location, skills, experience, education, and industry experience. Please note that this reflects only the base compensation and commission and does not include other benefits and generous employee option grants.
