About PHYGEN
We apply high-performance thin-film coatings to precision tooling and parts for aerospace, die casting, and manufacturing customers. As a Thin Film Coating Operator, you run the coating equipment at the heart of that work. The parts you handle are often customer-supplied and high-value, so care and consistency matter on every run.
What You'll Do
Coating Machine Operation
- Operate and monitor thin-film coating equipment to meet quality and productivity standards
- Load and unload parts per the digital job schedule; change fixtures between runs
- Select and prep parts, matching each to the correct job, fixtures, and masking
Documentation & Scheduling
- Complete physical and digital production records accurately and on time
- Review digital messaging and scheduling boards for work instructions and updates
- Adapt quickly as priorities and production needs change
Maintenance & Housekeeping
- Perform routine machine maintenance to keep equipment running well
- Keep a clean, organized work area and track tools and supplies
- Flag equipment or quality issues to the team early
Team & Reliability
- Work with production and engineering to improve processes
- Arrive on time and ready for scheduled shifts; take on other duties as needed
What You'll Need
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong manual dexterity and comfort with power and hand tools
- Effective verbal and digital communication skills
- Detail-oriented and dependable in a fast-paced production environment
- Willing to learn our coating process and grow with the team
- Technical or manufacturing training a plus
