Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and customer-oriented Bilingual Cell Phone and Computer Technician to join our team in Hyattsville, Maryland. In this role, you will diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair a variety of devices while providing excellent customer service to our diverse local community. The ideal candidate is fluent in both English and Spanish, possesses strong technical problem-solving skills, and thrives in a fast-paced retail or repair environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair smartphones, tablets, laptops, and desktop computers.
- Replace cracked screens, batteries, charging ports, and other hardware components.
- Troubleshoot software issues, perform data backups, and remove malware or viruses.
- Greet customers and discuss device symptoms to determine necessary repairs.
- Provide accurate repair price estimates and turnaround times to clients.
- Translate technical details clearly for both English and Spanish-speaking customers.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workbench and retail workspace.
- Manage parts inventory and log repair details into our point-of-sale system.
Qualifications:
- Professional experience repairing cell phones, electronics, or computers preferred.
- Fluent bilingual communication skills in English and Spanish are required.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of Apple iOS, Android, Windows, and macOS systems.
- Experience using precision repair tools, heat guns, and basic diagnostic software.
- Excellent customer service skills with a patient and friendly attitude.
- Ability to work flexible part-time hours, including weekends if needed.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent technical certifications (like CompTIA A ).
