The Scheduling Coordinator:
- Arranges procedure scheduling and pre-admission testing.
- Schedules patient in appropriate department.
- Verifies all demographic information and confirms date, time and location of appt for the patient and enters intra procedural data into computer.
- Registers and schedules patients.
- Provides customer service and clerical support.
- Accepts, records and verifies insurance information.
- Processes preauthorization requests, collects copays and account balance payments.
- Scans documents into EMR and other administrative tasks related to the efficient operations of the department.
- Ensures contact with patients, families, the community, vendors, coworkers and physicians are carried out in a friendly, courteous, helpful and considerate manner.

Qualifications
Education Requirements
- High School Diploma - OR - GED - OR - Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of education
- Prior scheduling experience in healthcare setting preferred
- BLS Certification
