What are the responsibilities and job description for the Estimator position at Phoenix Textile Corporation?
Who We Are
Phoenix Textile Corporation is one of the nation's leading providers of textile products and services for nursing homes and hospitals.
Since 1983, Phoenix Textile has been working with long-term, acute, and institutional facilities across the country to promote nurturing and healing environments. We understand the rapidly changing healthcare industry and remain committed to providing our customers with the right solutions to meet their needs.
Who We Are Looking For
Our company is currently in search of a qualified Estimator to join our growing Interiors Division.
The Estimator delivers fast, accurate quotes across Phoenix Interiors' full-service FFandE, Soft Goods (window treatments, privacy curtains, shower curtains, bedding), and all related services (installation, freight, delivery, storage, removal). This role drives quoting responsiveness for our Sales Territories: turning RFQs into clear, complete, margin-protected quotes that move opportunities forward quickly. Accuracy and speed are the heartbeat of the job.
What You Will Be Doing
The Estimator produces accurate, timely quotes across soft goods, window treatments, FFandE, services, and mixed-scope projects. This role completes takeoffs from plans, photos, measurements, and site documentation, and collaborates with Sales, Design, and Operations to develop clear, complete scopes of work. The Estimator validates technical and installation feasibility, identifies missing information, applies margin and fair market value guidelines, and supports Sales with technical product questions while meeting established turnaround standards.
Quote quality is critical to the role. The Estimator ensures all hardware, accessories, labor, and fabrication assumptions are included, prepares clean Bills of Materials for Operations handoff, and documents assumptions, clarifications, and exclusions to minimize downstream order-entry issues.
The Estimator partners with the Senior Estimator, Interior Designers, Operations, and installers to ensure pricing accuracy, feasibility, and a smooth transition from quote to order. When available, the role utilizes the CPQ system to generate quotes, identifies gaps or inconsistencies, provides feedback to support system refinement, and adopts new workflows to promote speed, accuracy, and standardization across the Interiors team.
