TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: This full time, 195 day/year position begins August 18, 2024.
SALARY: As determined by negotiated salary schedule, $17.60 to $$22.51, depending on experience.
REPORTS TO: Building administrators
JOB DESCRIPTION: The Attendance Specialist is the first point of contact for all attendance protocols and is an integral part of the attendance team aimed at helping students develop healthy attendance patterns. This position performs a variety of clerical work, maintaining accurate student attendance and tardy records, and interacts with families, staff, and students to achieve these goals. A high degree of attention to detail and accuracy in recordkeeping is essential to perform these duties.
The ideal candidate has experience in an office environment with front office clerical and administrative assistant duties. The ideal candidate has an upbeat and collaborative approach, great organizational skills and the ability to work well with interdepartmental teams and individuals.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Possess computer, office machine and clerical skills and experience
- Strong interpersonal, communication and conflict management skills
- Excellent organizational and filing skills
- Ability to use good judgment when carrying out tasks
- Valid First Aid/CPR Certification or willingness to obtain certification
- Physical demands needed: ability to communicate with students, co-workers, and the public;ability to communicate over the telephone; ability to respond to telephone, bells, students, coworkers, etc.; ability to respond to classroom disturbances, visual cues, student requests, etc.; ability to read written materials; ability to operate office equipment; ability to carry or lift light loads (25 lbs)
- Previous experience working with students, especially middle school-aged students
- Bilingual in Spanish and English
- Previous experience with student info systems
