Tooling Fabrication & Die Maintenance Specialist

Picture this: a press stops mid-run. You step in, inspect the die, take precise measurements, and chart the fastest path to a reliable repair. Minutes later, you’re at the mill or lathe, restoring the tool to spec and getting production back on track. Later in the shift, you collaborate on a new fixture design to launch an upcoming product. As a Tooling Fabrication & Die Maintenance Specialist on our 1st shift (6:30AM–3:00PM), you’ll be responsible for minor repair and maintenance of dies, punches, tool steel, and fixtures—keeping our stamping operations consistent and efficient.

• Diagnose die issues via thorough inspection and accurate measurement to determine repair strategies.
• Carry out die repairs to restore tooling performance and part quality.
• Set up and run shop equipment—milling machines, lathes, drill presses, grinders, and more—under general supervision.
• Design and manufacture tools and fixtures that enable new product introductions.
• Perform other duties as required or assigned by the Tool & Die Supervisor.
• Uphold OSHA and internal safety requirements at all times.

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience
• 3 years minimum verifiable machinist experience and/or Technical Diploma
• Proficiency with standard shop math
• Ability to interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, schematics, and technical manuals
• Basic maintenance capability for shop equipment
• Working knowledge of CNC programming and operation is a plus
• Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures
• Ability to make administrative/procedural decisions and thrive in a team setting
• Must have draw die experience
