Your Role
- Execute functional and regression testing activities for analytics and reporting applications to confirm alignment with business and technical requirements.
- Perform backend data validation using complex SQL queries to verify data accuracy, integrity, and business rule implementation.
- Create, maintain, and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and testing strategies across multiple project phases.
- Transition manual testing processes into scalable automated test scenarios and scripts over time.
- Support testing efforts for reporting and business intelligence platforms, including Power BI and related analytics tools.
- Identify, document, track, and validate resolution of software defects throughout the development lifecycle.
- Prepare and manage test data required to validate system functionality and reporting outputs.
- Partner with developers, analysts, and project stakeholders to clarify requirements and maintain quality standards.
- Participate in Agile delivery activities including sprint planning, backlog refinement, stand-ups, demonstrations, and retrospectives.
- Coordinate and support user acceptance testing activities with business users and project stakeholders.
- Contribute to modernization efforts involving reporting migrations, analytics enhancements, and operational support initiatives.
- Assist with API and automation testing activities to improve overall testing efficiency and coverage.
- At least 3 years of experience in software quality assurance or application testing environments.
- Strong SQL expertise with experience writing complex queries for backend validation and data testing.
- Experience testing business intelligence or reporting platforms such as Power BI.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to investigate and resolve data and application issues.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational capabilities.
- Working knowledge of QA methodologies, testing processes, and software development lifecycle practices.
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders in collaborative team settings.
- Experience working within Agile or Scrum-based delivery environments.
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps or similar work management tools.
- Exposure to Snowflake or comparable cloud-based data platforms.
- Hands-on experience with test automation tools and frameworks preferred.
