The Quality Laboratory Technician is responsible for performing routine laboratory operations in a quality assurance setting. This role involves basic testing, data recording, and assisting higher-level technicians with more complex tasks. This position is ideal for individuals new to the field who have a foundational understanding of laboratory practices!
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine quantitative and qualitative chemical tests according to standard procedures.
- Test incoming raw materials and finished products, including LOI, density, and sizing.
- Conduct random production line audits and assist in quality assurance tasks.
- Enter test results into databases and maintain accurate records.
- Assist with maintaining laboratory cleanliness and equipment calibration.
- Store and route product and raw material samples.
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Basic understanding of chemistry.
- Familiarity with MS Excel and MS Word.
- Previous relevant experience preferred but not required.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, and climb stairs for prolonged periods.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Capable of working in loud, cold, and hot environments.
Pay: From $22.00 per hour
