What are the responsibilities and job description for the Packaging Associate position at Phoenix Services LLC?
We are looking for dependable, hard-working individuals to join our team as Packing Associates. This is an entry-level position, and no prior manufacturing experience is required. If you are willing to learn, work as part of a team, and take pride in your work, we will provide the training you need to succeed!
- Pay: $16.50 per hour (Wage increases available after skill advancement—typically within 6 months)
- Shift: 1st Shift 7am-3:30pm
You would be responsible for packaging products by hand, checking quality, and preparing items for shipment while following safety and quality standards.
Duties:
- Pack products and materials by hand
- Count, weigh, and measure items accurately
- Inspect products for quality and remove any defective items
- Build and seal boxes using a hand tape gun
- Apply labels to boxes, bags, or products
- Enter basic information into inventory or order systems
- Stack boxes onto pallets for shipment
- Keep your work area clean, organized, and safe
- Work with your team to meet daily production goals
- Share ideas to help improve processes
- Perform other tasks as assigned
Qualified candidates will have a strong work ethic and positive attitude, basic computer and math skills, and the ability to lift up to 50lbs. High school diploma or GED also required.
