As a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for LEAN, you will serve as the internal authority on LEAN methodologies, driving continuous improvement initiatives across IT & Digital. You will collaborate closely with process owners, project teams, and leadership to embed LEAN thinking into operational practices. This role is pivotal in developing a culture of efficiency, quality, and value delivery across IT & Digital.

As a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for LEAN, you will serve as the internal authority on LEAN methodologies, driving continuous improvement initiatives across IT & Digital. You will collaborate closely with process owners, project teams, and leadership to embed LEAN thinking into operational practices. This role is pivotal in developing a culture of efficiency, quality, and value delivery across IT & Digital.
Location: Mannheim - hybrid working model
Your Tasks
- Facilitate workshops focused on process excellence, including value stream workshops and root cause analysis sessions.
- Coach employees and leadership in daily management, problem-solving processes, and LEAN tools to ensure sustainable improvements.
- Develop and maintain the IT&D LEAN toolbox, training materials, and documentation.
- Integrate LEAN principles into IT&D process management to optimize processes within the E2E value chain.
- Organize, moderate, and sustain opportunity meetings and Kaizen events according to a prioritized Kaizen funnel.
- Monitor and report on LEAN initiative outcomes, including KPIs and ROI.
- Apply LEAN principles in both production (IT & Digital run & change initiatives) and administrative (IT & Digital overhead) environments to drive value creation.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, IT, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience applying LEAN methodologies in complex organizational environments.
- Strong facilitation, coaching, and stakeholder management skills.
- LEAN, Six Sigma, or equivalent certification preferred.
- Expertise in LEAN tools such as 5S, Kaizen, A3, and Value Stream Mapping.
- Proven experience in change management and influencing skills.
- Excellent communication skills in English; German is a plus.
