Responsibilities

  • Activity PlanningDevelop and maintain a monthly activity calendar.
  • Plan therapeutic, educational, recreational, vocational, and wellness activities that support recovery goals.
  • Organize both individual and group activities for clients.Coordinate special events, celebrations, holiday programs, and community outings.
  • Ensure activities are culturally appropriate and inclusive
  • Encourage client participation in scheduled activities.
  • Build positive relationships with clients while maintaining professional boundaries.
  • Motivate clients to develop healthy coping skills through meaningful engagement.
  • Observe clients during activities and report behavioral concerns to the clinical team
  • Promote sober leisure and healthy lifestyle choices.
  • Reinforce recovery principles and positive peer interactions.
  • Encourage teamwork, communication, self-esteem, and personal growth.
  • Support clients in developing hobbies and life skills that can continue after treatment.
  • Community IntegrationCoordinate community outings, volunteer opportunities, and recovery-related events.
  • Arrange transportation when necessary according to agency policies.
  • Develop partnerships with community organizations for educational and recreational opportunities.
  • Maintain attendance records for all activities.
  • Document client participation and progress as required.
  • Submit activity reports to leadership.
  • Maintain activity calendars and schedules
  • Ensure all activities comply with agency policies, state regulations, and safety standards.
  • Supervise clients during activities and outings.Complete incident reports when necessary.Inspect equipment and activity areas for safety hazards.
  • Maintain inventory of activity supplies and equipment.
  • Request supplies within approved budget.
  • Ensure proper care and storage of equipment.
  • Work closely with counselors, therapists, peer recovery specialists, nurses, case managers, and other staff.

Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
