Responsibilities
- Assist experienced plumbers with installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems on construction sites.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to ensure accurate pipe installation and system setup.
- Use hand tools, power tools, pipe threading machines, and welding equipment safely and effectively.
- Measure, cut, assemble, and install pipes according to specifications while ensuring compliance with building codes.
- Support the maintenance of plumbing systems by troubleshooting issues and performing repairs as directed.
- Follow safety protocols rigorously to maintain a safe work environment for yourself and team members.
- Collaborate with team members on remodeling projects, handyman tasks, and general construction site duties.
Experience
- Prior construction experience or exposure to construction sites is preferred but not required; a strong willingness to learn is essential.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing principles, mechanical systems, and blueprint reading is advantageous.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, pipe threading techniques, and welding processes is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to follow safety procedures and building code regulations during work activities.
- Excellent communication skills with a customer service-oriented mindset are valued for interacting professionally on-site.
