Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) Manager role based in Petersburg, VA. The EHS Manager will develop, implement, and maintain EHS programs, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as company standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting site inspections and audits, identifying hazards, and driving corrective actions to minimize risk and improve workplace safety. The role will oversee incident and accident investigations, maintain accurate EHS records, and prepare required reports. The EHS Manager will also design and deliver safety and environmental training, coach team members and leaders on best practices, and collaborate with operations to promote a strong safety culture and environmental stewardship.

Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of Environment, Health and Safety (EHS), Health & Safety, and Occupational Health principles and regulations.
- Proven experience in accident investigation, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
- Experience developing and delivering EHS training programs for diverse teams and roles.
- Familiarity with environmental compliance, waste management, and pollution prevention practices in industrial or mining settings.
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CSP, CIH, CHMM, or equivalent) preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory requirements in an industrial environment.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage at all organizational levels.
- Experience in metals, mining, heavy industry, or similar high-risk operations is highly beneficial.
- Proficiency with EHS management systems, reporting tools, and standard office software.
