About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to maintain and repair utility trucks and heavy equipment. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in hydraulics, electrical systems, and diesel engines to ensure our fleet operates efficiently and safely. Your contributions will directly impact our ability to provide reliable service to our clients.
Responsibilities- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on utility trucks, including hydraulic and electrical systems.
- Diagnose and repair LMI (Load Moment Indicator) and CAN bus (Controller Area Network) issues.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical and hydraulic systems on utility trucks and equipment.
- Complete inspection reports and repair orders accurately, documenting service time and parts costs.
- Ensure minimal equipment downtime through effective communication with customers and internal departments.
- Adhere to all safety training and requirements, including federal, state, and local regulations for hazardous waste disposal.
Required Skills
- High School diploma or GED.
- Five years of experience as a Shop Technician or Field Technician.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Must have your own tools.
- Proficiency in software documentation and meeting deadlines.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with electrical schematics, blueprints, hydraulics, and welding.
- Familiarity with Quick Serve, DTNA, or related diagnostic software.
- DOT, ANSI, and Dielectric testing certifications.
