What are the responsibilities and job description for the Extracurricular Enrichment Supervisor position at Phoenix Elementary School District #1?
Grade 111- Placement range= $19.30 to $22.06 per hour
The Extracurricular Enrichment Supervisor assists the school Principal and Before and After school Coordinator with managing the day-to-day operation, with on-site opportunities provided for children before and after the regular school day. These programs include, but are not limited to, tutoring, 21st Century Enrichment Programming, YMCA before and after school care, GRoad, athletics, and other enrichment opportunities for students as defined by the school Principal or district Program Coordinator The job requires the ability to work flexible hours and serve in a cooperative capacity with vendors, district families, school Principals, the district Program Coordinator, and other district personnel. The job may require travel between 2 school sites.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (Additional Duties Assigned May Be Assigned)
- Effectively utilizes district technologies appropriate to the position and assumes responsibility for attending trainings needed to successfully perform tasks.
- Manages the day-to-day operation and offers support to the extracurricular programs during the school year and possible intersessions and summers.
- Assists the school Principal and district Program Coordinator in the evaluation of after school extracurricular enrichment programs.
- Collaborates with program staff to order and record data (ie: meals/snacks, attendance, incident documentation, etc.)
- Provides input on recreational activities and other enrichment programs to stimulate the growth for children at each of the school sites.
- Assist with recommending and obtaining the appropriate furniture, supplies, and materials to conduct the program at each school site.
- Assists with providing families pertinent information as it relates to the specific site- based programs and supports being offered on a campus.
- Works as a liaison with the school Principal and district Program Coordinator to resolve staff, parent, student, and vendor concerns.
- Provides support to all extracurricular programs by creating systems that allow the daily operation to be successful and efficient. (ie. School dismissal transitions to clubs, parent pick up/drop off locations, bus pick up, meal or snack serving times and disbursement.)
- Be site point of contact for athletics.
- Must be knowledgeable on how to appropriately respond to emergencies or significant site problems as they occur per district policy and protocol.
- Work with the school office manager or district administrative secretary to generate purchase orders or site repairs as necessary.
- Other duties as assigned by the Before and After School Coordinator.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: · 60 College Credit Semester Hours, an Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s degree

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge of:
- Supervising, managing, developing, and implementing recreational activities and other enrichment programs for students in an after school environment.
Skilled in:
- Working effectively with children and adults.
- Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, and other digital platforms.
- First Aid and CPR Certified
- CPI Certified
Ability to:
- Ability to work with individuals and groups of students to support behavior management, must have patience working with children, and follows written and oral directions and completes assignments given by the Principal or district Program Director.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with students, peers, parents and staff members.
- Organize and set up equipment that is used in programs and activities.
- Produce effective written reports in a timely manner.
