We are seeking a skilled and reliable Ophthalmic Technician to join our clinical team. This role supports ophthalmologists and optometrists in delivering high-quality patient care by performing diagnostic testing, assisting with examinations, and ensuring efficient clinic operations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, professional, and comfortable working in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Current BLS Certification for Healthcare Provider (American Heart Association)
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent
Experience:
Minimum of 1 year of experience working directly with an Ophthalmologist or Optometrist in a clinical setting
The Ophthalmic Technician assists in the delivery of health care and patient care management working one on one with any practice provider.

The Ophthalmic Technician assists in the delivery of health care and patient care management working one on one with any practice provider.
Position Duties
- Prepares patients for examination and treatment. This includes obtaining patient history, documenting allergies, obtains current vision measurement, maintains medication list, and generating surgical consent forms. Assists the provider in the course of the patient encounter as requested.
- Administers medications such as eye drops under physician’s written order.
- Performs various diagnostic tests and imaging.
- Prepares exam and treatment rooms with necessary instruments and supplies.
- Maintains supplies and equipment for treatment and examination.
- Travels between offices for clinic coverage as requested.
- Performs miscellaneous job related duties as requested.
