Ophthalmic/ optometric tech
Full time or part time with flexibility in schedule (3-4 days/week, 6-7 hours/day, 8:30 to approximately 4-5).
Check vision and pressure, refraction, scribing- enter meds, history and exam into EHR, put in eyedrops, perform testing with OCT, VF and IOL master, and schedule appointments and surgeries and assist doctor with other tasks.
Part of job includes admin/ front desk duties: Schedules and greets patients, checks patients in and out, verifies eligibility and financial responsibility. Scanning documents. Previous experiences and working knowledge of insurances is welcome. Schedules surgeries and fills out surgery packets, corresponds with referring offices and surgery center. Able to phone insurance companies to process denied claims.
Provides excellent service to both patients and doctors. Previous experience in ophthalmology or optometry office welcome and preferred but not required
Assists with keeping workplace and office clean. Able to perform light lifting up to 25 pounds. Able to type at least 25 wpm, you will be tested on this at the time of interview. At will employment. NO health insurance offered with this position.
