What are the responsibilities and job description for the Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner position at Phoenix Behavioral Health?
Phoenix Behavioral Health, a quality provider of mental health and substance abuse services, is looking to hire a part time provider (APRN) for our Partial Care and Intensive Outpatient treatment programs located in Cherry Hill and to serve as a back up support to our Ewing location as needed.
Position: Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
Status: Part Time
Location: Cherry Hill, NJ
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Conduct initial psychiatric assessments of new clients
- Manage a caseload for ongoing medication needs, including metabolic assessment, appropriate labs/studies and contact with other physicians
- Chart documentation as per agency standards
- Prescribe medications within standards of psychiatric care
- Participate in joint clinical case review meetings with program and case management staff to coordinate care for clients
- Participate in quality improvement process, including chart review for compliance with medical record keeping standards
- Collaborate with Medical Director in accordance with Collaboration Agreement
- Provide staff training, consultation and support in medication education and record keeping
- Provide psychiatric emergency intervention and management for program clients
- Maintain regular CEU’s
Position Requirements:
- Master's Degree in Nursing;
- Valid New Jersey APN license (Advanced Practice / Nurse Practitioner License);
- CNS (Clinical Nurse Specialist) in adult psychiatry / mental health with substance abuse experience;

Experience:
- Substance Abuse: 1 year (Preferred)
- Mental Health : 1 year(Preferred)

Salary : $100 - $125
