Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and welcoming Host/Hostess to join our Pho Panda team! In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere that sets the tone for an exceptional dining experience. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to be at the heart of our restaurant’s guest experience, helping us deliver memorable service from the moment guests walk through the door.
Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests with a friendly, positive attitude.
- Answer incoming phone calls and take pickup orders accurately.
- Escort guests to their tables and help manage the dining room flow.
- Process guest payments and check customers out using the POS system.
- Manage online pickup orders, including DoorDash, Uber Eats, and other delivery platforms.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest questions and concerns professionally, ensuring guest satisfaction and positive guest relations.
- Assist with front-of-house duties during busy periods and supporting service staff when needed.
Experience
- Prior experience as a host/hostess or in a customer service role within a restaurant is preferred but not required.
- Willing to help wherever needed and work collaboratively with the team.
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
- Chinese speaking preferred, but not required.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
- Basic math skills for handling reservations, seating calculations, and POS transactions.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper sanitation procedures is a plus.
- Positive attitude with excellent communication and customer service skills.
