Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Hardware Support Specialist to join our dynamic IT support team. Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for computer hardware, peripherals, and network equipment, including desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and other IT hardware.
• Troubleshoot hardware failures and perform repairs or coordinate replacements to minimize downtime.
• Assist users with hardware setup, configuration, and installation of new equipment in accordance with company standards.
• Support the management of help desk tickets related to hardware issues, ensuring timely resolution and clear communication with end-users.
• Conduct network troubleshooting using tools such as TCP/IP protocols, DNS configurations, LAN/WAN setups, VPNs, and Meraki devices to resolve connectivity problems.
• Manage Active Directory accounts for hardware access permissions and assist with Windows Server environments related to user profiles and device management.
• Collaborate with IT teams on maintaining the overall health of the IT infrastructure, including operating systems like Windows and Linux.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of computer hardware components and troubleshooting techniques for desktops, laptops, servers, and mobile devices.
• Proficiency in operating systems including Windows (Windows 10/11), Windows Server environments, and Linux distributions.
• Experience with help desk systems and customer support ticket management tools to track issues effectively.
• Familiarity with network protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, GPO (Group Policy Objects), LAN/WAN architecture, TCP connections, and network security practices.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve software issues related to hardware performance or compatibility problems.
• Excellent communication skills to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical users and provide exceptional customer service.
• Knowledge of Active Directory management for user accounts and device permissions; experience with Microsoft Office suite is a plus.
• Understanding of IT infrastructure components including routers (Meraki), switches, VPNs, DNS settings, and LAN configurations.

Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
