What the Student Support Manager does:
- Oversee and coordinate all student support services across assigned classrooms and programs
- Supervise, mentor, and evaluate a team of Assistant Teachers, Related Service Providers, and Behavioral Staff
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and outside agencies to develop, implement, and monitor individualized behavior and academic support plans
- Schedule, facilitate, and document IEP, eligibility, and progress-review meetings with LEA representatives, parents/guardians, and PHILLIPS staff
- Track and report on student progress, behavior data, and service delivery in PowerSchool and SEDS
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations (IDEA, VDOE, OSSE, VASIE) and internal policies
- Maintain student support budgets; submit expenditure reports to the Program Director
- Develop and deliver staff trainings on behavior management strategies, data collection, and compliance protocols
- Serve as the primary point of contact for families, school districts, and external partners regarding student support issues
- Lead program-wide initiatives to improve outcomes, promote best practices, and foster a culture of continuous improvement
What the Student Support Manager brings to the team:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Psychology, Social Work, or a closely related field (Master’s preferred)
- Virginia licensure or eligibility in Special Education and/or School Leadership (preferred)
- 3 years of experience in special education, behavior support, or related supervisory roles
- Strong knowledge of IEP processes, behavior management techniques, and data-driven intervention design
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders
- Proficiency with PowerSchool, SEDS, and Microsoft Office suite
