What the Related Services Supervisor does:
- Oversee and mentor all related-services staff (e.g. SLPs, OTs, PTs, psychologists, counselors), balance caseloads, and build schedules that align with each student’s IEP while ensuring state/federal compliance.
- Develop and refine service-delivery protocols, monitor progress/data, and maintain IDEA, state, and PHILLIPS policy compliance to continuously improve outcomes.
- Onboard new providers, deliver ongoing training (e.g. behavior management, data collection), and facilitate regular team meetings to share best practices and resources.
- Act as the primary liaison among families, school leadership, external agencies, and classroom staff; participate in IEP meetings to secure the supports each student needs.
- Oversee related-services budgets, review logs and reports for accuracy, and analyze outcome data to inform program enhancements and student goals.
What the Related Services Supervisor brings to the team:
- Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or closely related field
- Active Virginia licensure as one of the following:
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
- Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) / Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC)
- Minimum of 3–5 years of direct clinical or supervisory experience in a special education or related-services setting
- Demonstrated success mentoring and developing multidisciplinary teams
- Strong knowledge of IDEA, IEP development, and Medicaid documentation
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Comfort with data-driven decision-making and program evaluation
- Ability to collaborate effectively with families, school staff, and external partners
