Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning and sanitation of production areas, equipment, and tools to meet health and safety standards.
- Conduct industrial cleaning tasks, including the use of specialized cleaning equipment and chemicals.
- Ensure compliance with sanitation regulations and guidelines within food processing environments.
- Maintain cleanliness in processing, harvest and HPP areas to promote a safe working environment.
- Assist with heavy lifting and moving of materials as required during cleaning processes.
- Document cleaning activities and report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to supervisors.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations while adhering to sanitation practices.
Skills
- Proven experience in cleaning, particularly in industrial or commercial settings.
- Familiarity with sanitation practices specific to food production and processing environments.
- Janitorial experience is highly desirable, along with custodial.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed during cleaning tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
