The Scheduler utilizes scheduling software such as Microsoft Project or Primavera P6 to manage timelines, resource allocation, and reporting.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Schedule Development & Maintenance:
- Develop, maintain, and update project schedules using Microsoft Project or Primavera P6.
- Incorporate resource and cost loading into schedules to manage project timelines effectively.
- Project Monitoring & Reporting:
- Track and report project progress, ensuring alignment with project goals.
- Conduct Earned Value Analysis (EVA) to measure project performance against budget and schedule.
- Identify and communicate Critical Path activities and potential scheduling risks.
- Prepare and present 60-day Look-Ahead schedules to project teams.
- Collaboration & Coordination:
- Work closely with project teams to refine schedules and ensure alignment with project objectives.
- Assist in schedule assurance reviews and incorporate feedback into project timelines.
- Maintain clear and effective communication with all stakeholders regarding schedule updates and risks.
- Knowledge of project scheduling best practices and ability to analyze scheduling data.
- Experience with Microsoft Project and/or Primavera P6 for project scheduling and tracking.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams, including operations, management, and finance.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting and presenting scheduling data.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or related experience.
- Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in project scheduling, preferably within a similar industry.
