Essential Knowledge And Skill Requirement
- Analyze survey objectives and specifications to prepare survey proposals or direct others in
- Plan, direct, and coordinate survey work, integrating activities with other staff, certifying
- Calculate heights, depths, relative positions, property lines, and other terrain
- Compute geodetic measurements and interpret survey data to determine positions,
- Coordinate findings with engineering and architectural personnel, clients, and other
- Determine longitudes and latitudes of important features and boundaries using
- Experience with CAD/modeling platforms and leading heavy civil survey personnel is
Supervisory Responsibilities
- May supervise up to 5 workers, including surveyors, technicians, and support staff.
- Ability to perform a variety of duties, adapting to changes with accuracy.
- Frequently lift/carry objects up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds unassisted.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, instructions, and manuals.
- Strong report writing and effective communication skills.
- Work may involve dusty or dirty conditions.
- Exposure to hazardous materials, with appropriate personal protective equipment
- Occasional night shifts and exposure to extreme temperatures.
- Demonstrated ability to meet the physical demands of the role as part of qualification
Education And Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in surveying preferred.
- At least two years of related supervisory experience.
- CPR, First Aid, and Confined Space Entry certifications are advantageous.
