Summary:
The Junior Estimator assists in the preparation of project cost estimates in the early stages of project planning and development. Working under the guidance of senior estimating staff, this role contributes to the analysis of costs and the preparation of bids for various construction projects.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in gathering, calculating, and compiling data for use in bid proposal estimates.
- Responsible for producing accurate quantity take offs by means of 3D modeling and through analysis of plan sets and specifications.
- Support the analysis of project specifications, drawings, and blueprints to calculate total project costs.
- Collaborate with the project team to collect and assess information on project variables that may impact costs.
- Contribute to the preparation of preliminary project budgets and cost assessments.
- Participate in meetings with contractors, clients, and team members to discuss cost estimates.
- Ensure compliance with company standards and project requirements in all estimates.
- Assist in the review and evaluation of bid subcontractor bids and proposals.
Requirements:
- Basic understanding of construction processes and terminology.
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
