The Latham MR Magnets facility is a manufacturing and development site for Magnetic Resonance Imaging magnets and other superconducting products used in Philips Magnetic Resonance Imaging and other customers.
Your Role
We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.

This is role will cover 3rd shift hours) from 11:20pm-7:30am

The pay range for this position in NY is $18.10 to $28.96 plus overtime eligible and 3rd shift pay differential.
The actual base pay offered may vary within the posted ranges depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.
In addition, other compensation, such as an annual incentive bonus, sales commission or long-term incentives may be offered. Welder 1
Job Description
The Latham MR Magnets facility is a manufacturing and development site for Magnetic Resonance Imaging magnets and other superconducting products used in Philips Magnetic Resonance Imaging and other customers.
Your Role
- The ability to perform precise high-quality TIG welds on aluminum and stainless steel
- The ability to run an automated welding cell by confidently operating and overseeing a robotic welding system. You will be required to set up the equipment, monitor its performance, and make adjustments to ensure each weld meets quality standards and handle routine maintenance
- Ability to cut, bend, drill, tap, and perform similar operations as required to fabricate intricate assemblies encountered in cryogenic applications
- Ability to read and understand drawings and supporting documents
- Demonstrated ability to use precision instruments
- You have 1 years of welding experience as well as experience using mechanical assembly tools.
- You have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- You can create high quality TIG and Mig welds and you can perform excellent vacuum leak tight TIG welds on aluminum.
- You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this Shipping/Warehousing position.
- You have experience operating bridge cranes and forklift trucks, and you are able to read and write to follow documentation assembly procedures and sign off documentation as required.
