Organizational Intern, Capital Projects

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Organizational Intern, Capital Projects will work closely with the Phillies’ Capital Projects team to support the planning and execution of a variety of small to mid-scale renovation and improvement projects across Citizen's Bank Park. This position offers hands-on experience in project management and construction coordination, providing exposure to all phases of the project lifecycle. The intern will help facilitate communication between the Phillies, architects, and contractors, assist in managing schedules and documentation, and represent the organization in meetings to ensure projects stay on track and aligned with team goals.

This is an intern position expected to last approximately 12 months and will require around 40 hours of work per week. This individual will report into our Director, Capital Projects.

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES:

• Support the development, management, and tracking of project budgets, schedules, and cash flow projections.
• Coordinate activities between design teams, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure alignment with project milestones.
• Serve as a liaison between the Phillies, architects, and construction partners ensuring clear and consistent communication and documentation.
• Review design documents, cost estimates, and change orders to confirm accuracy and consistency with project objectives.
• Manage and maintain submittals, RFIs, meeting minutes, and all project-related correspondence.
• Assist in the procurement process, including preparing RFPs/RFQs, evaluating bids, and supporting contract negotiations.
• Coordinate capital projects and communicate progress across multiple departments and functional areas.
• Review and process pay applications while managing invoices to ensure timely and accurate payments.
• Support move-in, commissioning, and project closeout activities, including punch list completion, as-built documentation, and warranty tracking.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support the Capital Projects team and overall organizational initiatives.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

• Current student or recent graduate pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field.
• Prior internship or project experience in construction, engineering, or architecture preferred.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with AutoCAD and Bluebeam preferred.
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, and move frequently throughout the ballpark and work sites.
• Availability to work Monday through Friday on-site, with occasional weekend hours as needed to support project schedules.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and eager to learn within a collaborative team environment.
