POSITION SUMMARY:
Major League Baseball and the Philadelphia Phillies will host the 96th MLB All-Star Game in July 2026. Two All-Star Week Interns will assist in overseeing the All-Star Week Experience Team Program, which includes managing approximately 500 team members who will work at Capital One All-Star Village and support various other events throughout the week. Internships will last from May through July 2026 and will be expected to work a full 5-day work week stationed at Citizens Bank Park, with extended hours and occasional weekends as needed, and must be available for the entire All-Star village show schedule which runs from July 6th through July 14th.

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES:
Pre-Event Responsibilities
- Assist with the selection of operational staff (hiring of attraction managers) by conducting virtual interviews and/or initial screenings.
- Develop and maintain database and manage and operate the Management System.
- Monitor workforce registration through the Management System.
- Responsible for the development and set up of all staffing opportunities and descriptions in the Management System for registration and scheduling.
- Respond to all email and phone inquiries and questions regarding staffing roles.
- Serve as the main point of contact for all staff.
- Work with All-Star Week Coordinators to prepare and organize all elements of the virtual informational meeting for prospective staff, including but not limited to logistics, staffing, and screening process.
- Utilize the Management System to handle all communications and scheduling for the Experience Team opportunities.
- Prepare and print out all schedules and descriptions of the events taking place during MLB All-Star Week.
- Prepare packets for Experience Team Member orientation sessions.
- Work with All-Star Week Coordinators to organize all elements of the Experience Team Member orientation sessions-including but not limited to logistics, staffing, and presentation.
- Work at headquarters (All-Star Village) during All-Star Week to assist with scheduling changes and any assistance on staffing needs.
- Prepare staffing lists for each assignment for each day.
- Oversee Management System during All-Star Week.
- Compile all relevant documents and notes to send to MLB for reference for the following year.
- Completion of a minimum of two years in an accredited four-year college degree program or a combination of education and relevant experience.
- Degree in Sports Administration, Event Management, Business Administration, Human Resources or related field strongly preferred.
- Must be available to work a 5-day work week (including extended hours and a few weekends as needed) for the duration of this assignment. During event week, must be able to work the entire July show schedule.
- Prior experience as a sports event volunteer/organizer is preferred.
- Excellent time management, interpersonal, verbal and written communications, organization skills and extreme attention to detail a must.
- The ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and adhere to strict deadlines is essential.
- Strong Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.).
