What are the responsibilities and job description for the Entry Level Loom Operator position at Phifer Wire Products?
JOB SUMMARY: The Loom Operator position is responsible for the operation of a battery of looms designed to weave yarn into cloth. This includes the entire weaving process from preparation of looms until yarn is woven into a finished cloth. Management may assign additional duties as needed. The Loom Operator will perform all safety requirements and guidelines as required by the standard work for the operation.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Will perform sulzer beginning of shift and general duties as documented by reading and performing written instructions
- Will be able to identify weaving, filler and warp end defects and problems, then apply correction procedures for those problems
- Will perform maintenance on looms as documented by reading and performing written instructions
